i flirt with guys I like and they seem to flirt back -- but I can never get them to the next step (asking me out)! I will NOT ask a guy out

If he mentions a place you like too, then tell him how much you enjoy going there, mentioning that it's ESPECIALLY fun going with other people, and see if he'll take the hint. If you don't have an exact same favorite place, but you have one that's very similar (say you both like Italian but frequent different restaurants), then you could hint to him that he might enjoy trying your place with you, or that you might enjoy trying his for a change.

We might find this to be horrible, on one hand, but if a guy gets all soft and begs to go out with us ladies, would we really accept even though he is a nice person? What if he says, excuse me, I am needy emotionally, and I want to really cuddle. You may see him anything from a creep, to Let's Just Be Friends. On the other hand, a guy who is sort of firty will be seen as being ';Cool';. It may not be right, but can you girls do something about giving the softer guy a chance? I know I would let him finish last sadly.

It really depends on how old he is. He may look you in the eyes more in a different way (cause guys really don't like to do that). He may touch your shoulder, your hair, your hand. My conclusion is cynical and I do apologize for that: human attraction twoards opposite sex cant be limited to a single person or within the social customs; we all try to have pleasure from the other gender in so many ways. However, I think, an intelligent person with some effort can understand the lack of seriousness, however, trying to do this over and over can make you suspicious and cynical.

He likes talking to you and thinks you are a fun friend and just a friend. or 3. He flirts with everyone and is doing it because he can....some men get this ';macho high'; off women they flirt with, so they know that they ';still got it';. So, if you want to see if he's into you suggest going to lunch together or getting a coffee or something simple to see where it goes. Sometimes men just don't get ';subtle hints'; so if you work up the courage, you may just have to whack him over the head and be blunt and honest about how you feel about him. Im very shy and i never have the balls to flirt with a girl. My opinion is to not even bother with him, theres nothing cute about being shy TRUST ME. The point is that they try to not be too obvious, while trying to get the point across, which makes it all the more difficult.

I'm 17, and I've never had a boyfriend, much less done ANYTHING with a guy. I'm not exactly shy, but I'm somewhat self conscious about my body and have therefore avoided situations where guys MIGHT be interested in me.
